Saint Helena Catholic School is dedicated to sharing the message of Christ, which is a call to know his love and share it with others. Our faith is incorporated within our school community on a daily basis  through the following:

We use the beautiful “Faith and Life” series in the classroom to teach the tenets of the Catholic Faith and supplement this Faith Knowledge with age appropriate examples and activities.

We are so blessed to have Bishop Robert Vasa visit our school and meet the children one day late January, early February as part of the Dioceses “Catholic Schools Week.”

First Reconciliation and First Communion is offered to students in the 2nd grade. Students are prepared in their regular classroom and the sacraments are celebrated in May.

Confirmation: Confirmation is offered to 7th and 8th Grade students. The Bishop celebrates the Confirmation Mass in St. Helena in May.

We begin and end each day with prayer
We give thanks for our meals
We attend weekly Mass, praying for our family, friends, alumni, and benefactors

In recognition of all God gives us, we believe wholeheartedly in giving back – each within his/her means – no matter how young or old.  Together, our parents and teachers dedicate 100’s of hours a year in service to the community. Service projects have included: Visiting nursing homes, preparing toy boxes for needy families during Christmas, or hosting bake sales to raise money for St. Damien’s Hospital for Children in Haiti.
