Our middle school students, grades 5 – 8, enjoy small classes where they receive individualized instruction. In this setting, teachers are better able to identify areas that need improvement, as well as supporting areas of talent and strength. This attention is very valuable at this stage of their development, providing students with a firm foundation that will prepare them for challenging high school classes and social environment.
In the middle school years, children are developing into young adults and, as therefore, face many questions about the world around them and about themselves: Who am I? Am I likeable? What will I become?
At this critical time in their social, emotional, and faith development they are also inundated with social media, movies, and music which introduces complex current topics – that may or may not correspond with your family’s values.
At SHCS we strive to support you, as the first educator of your children, and teach Christian values that put God first, promotes the family, and respects human life and dignity. As we are teaching reading, writing, math, and Science…. we are also teaching things like patience, kindness, forgiveness, and self- control.
