Hello, my name is Mary Terese Galas I am excited to be the 3rd and 4th grade teacher at St. Helena Catholic School. A resident of Calistoga, I worked for four years at Vincent Arroyo Winery. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science, a minor in Wine and Viticulture, and a Multiple Subject teaching credential.
Teaching, as well as agriculture has always been a passion in my life. Born and raised in Modesto, California, I appreciated my maternal as well as paternal grandparents associations with almond and Holstein dairy farming. The oldest of four children, my parents sacrificed more than I will ever realize to afford their children Catholic elementary and secondary educations. It has been my experience, that throughout one’s life there are experiences and events in which you cannot always properly prepare, but there is always faith. It is precisely in these moments when having a strong Catholic foundation is essential. I look forward to sharing my love of the Catholic faith and the cultivation of knowledge with the students at St. Helena Catholic School.
